Earlier this week I finally got around to shooting the first of the photo series I'm starting inspired by Wengenn in Wonderland. Turned out better than expected! Husband helped. =)

Moon Fries
I just discovered this sweet brand called Moon Fries. What makes it even more exciting is that it's Canadian! Creator Jenny and her adorable little boy Carter who you can see modelling the clothes on instagram (Supberbuds) are based out of Vancouver, B.C.
I love this long sleeve shirt that reminds me a bit of Star Trek called diamond but Xander isn't big enough yet! Help me decide on what to get him! Leaning towards the North leggings... yes??

Baby Dreams
If you haven't seen Sioin Queenie Liao's "Wengenn in Wonderland", go check it out here !!
The inspiration came from Adele Enersen's book When My Baby Dreams of Fairy Tales. Sioin took similar photos of her son Wengenn during his naps and created an adventure dreamland! When I saw this I immediately wanted to try it! Maybe I could make a photo book for Xander to see when he's older.
I'm having some trouble getting started, what kind of things does Xander dream about? I know he smiles a lot!

MY MILK TOOF
I was flipping through some of my old kids fashion magazines and something in Papier Mache's second print issue caught my attention: a book called My Milk Toof by Inhae Lee. So I discovered the blog and couldn't stop looking through all the adventures of Ickle and Lardee and the travelling goldfish Carrot!
These little teef are so ridiculously cute and funny, I literally LOLed at The Unwanted Guest story... go check it out now!! I can't wait for Xander to be old enough to appreciate story time because I'm buying him these books!
I've been wanting to make Xander a story myself. Did you know there's a whole section on blurb's website with stories people have created and self published for their kids? I'm so glad I have a creative husband because I always get inspired and excited to start projects but never finish them... but this story is going to star Tony's friend Egbert, so I know with his help it will get done!

Planet Milkshake is a kids clothing brand that so far only exists in my head. It’s the feeling of nostalgia expressed in the form of fashion for children. Retro and vintage, styles that remind you of what you wore as a kid in the early 90’s (if you’re a twenty something like me), but with a fifties influence thrown in there as well... because why not?
This blog is to get me started on the road to eventually make Planet Milkshake happen! My new baby boy Xander (7 weeks old) is unknowingly going to be a big help by providing inspiration and modeling skills. Get ready for lots of cute, fun things!!
